Mrs. Andrea Pauls is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and holds a Masters of Arts in Counseling from Denver Seminary. She has been practicing in the field of counseling for over 13 years. For 6 years she worked in Colorado in community mental health as a Child and Adolescent therapist exclusively. She has counseled at Family Therapy of Albuquerque since the fall of 2003.
Mrs. Pauls works primarily with women, children, adolescents and families. In treating children, she has a special interest in non-directive play therapy with younger children. She treats women’s issues of marital and relational stressors and adjustments, anxiety, depression and spiritual wrestlings. Mrs. Pauls longs for clients to experience God’s healing love for them in their counseling journey, and she incorporates faith directly in the sessions as the client prefers.
Dr. Davis is a licensed professional mental health counselor. He holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and Counseling and a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is also an ordained minister and a certified chaplain.
Dr. Davis counsels in the areas of addiction, anxiety, grief, depression, and anger management. He practices principles that work with his clients of all ages: children, teenagers, and adults. He has been providing his clients with individual therapy, marital therapy, and family therapy for the last eight years.
Mrs. Cawood is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of New Mexico. She has 16 years of experience providing support and guidance for youth and their families in a variety of settings, ranging from public schools to juvenile probation offices and youth shelters. In addition, she and her husband served for 3 years as treatment foster parents. In her free time, Mrs. Cawood enjoys hiking, camping, and playing with her husband of 14 years and 2 children.
Mrs. Cawood believes that trials provide growth opportunities, and with prayer and God’s guidance, we can all learn skills for healthier relationships and more peaceful living. She believes that God works in each of us in His own way and time. So, she respects each person’s spiritual journey, and intends to meet clients in their own space without imposing uninvited personal beliefs.
Mrs. Cawood has a special interest in the behavioral and emotional well being of children and adolescents, and family relationships. Her hope is to help strengthen individuals and families by educating and encouraging them to explore and maximize their gifts, skills, and resources.
Dr. Good holds a Doctorate in Counseling and a Masters Degree in Art Education/Art Therapy from the University of New Mexico. She is registered and board certified as an art therapist (ATR-BC), as well as state licensed as a Professional Art Therapist (LPAT) and a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Dr. Good is a Past-President of the American Art Therapy Association (AATA), Past-President of the New Mexico Art Therapy Association and currently serves as President on the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB).
Dr. Good has worked in the field of mental health for 35 years. She predominately works with adults and couples, but maintains a few adolescents in her practice. In addition, she supervises the work of several art therapy and counseling professionals.
Dr. Good is an invited speaker nationally and internationally. She has written several invited chapters for recent art therapy and counseling books, in addition to numerous journal articles and a published dissertation on Secondary Stress in Healthcare Professionals. Her interest in public speaking and writing has spanned topics from PTSD to assessment, legal issues, ethics and spirituality within the therapy professions.
Mr. Woods is a Licensed Independent Social Worker. He completed his Masters Degree in Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University. He served his internship at Family Therapy of Albuquerque (FTA) and maintained a part-time therapy presence there until he became a full time therapist with FTA in 2006. Mr. Woods has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in the therapeutic setting for thirteen years. He worked with children and adolescents in a rural New Mexico public school setting for three years and with adolescents in a private, group-home setting for six years.
While Mr. Woods is comfortable working with clients seeking a secular-based approach to psychotherapy, he believes that the most enduring transformation that an individual can experience is the healing that comes from their Heavenly Father’s hand. Mr. Woods feels it is his greatest privilege to assist his fellow pilgrims along that path.
His special interest areas include marital and premarital therapy, depression, anxiety, ADHD, gerontology, and dissociative identity disorder.

Dr. Major integrates both psychology and sociology in her work as a psychotherapist over the past 23 years. She completed all doctoral requirements (except dissertation) in Counseling Psychology at the University of New Mexico in 1990, after having earned a Ph.D. in Sociology from Arizona State University (1980). With broad experiences in both doctoral fields of study, she has worked with individuals and families in diverse cultural settings and with all ages as an educator, community development specialist, researcher, and psychotherapist.
Dr. Major has served as a staff member of Albuquerque Family and Child Guidance Center and she has worked with therapy teams at Charter Hospital. Her experiences also include consulting for the Albuquerque Public Schools, the Indian Health Services, and various Native American Pueblos throughout the state. She has provided mental health training and workshops at various forums locally and statewide.
Dr. Major’s special interests include psychological development and challenges throughout the lifespan, relationship issues, and issues of attachment and loss. She is skilled in the use of sandtray therapy as an experiential modality for healing for children as well as adults. She has a deep trust that God leads the way for both client and therapist.

Marcia Schubert is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and has practiced in New Mexico for the past 15 years. She holds a master’s degree from Colorado State University (1995), an American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy approved program specializing in marriage and family therapy. She has also had the privilege of individual supervision with Mr. Braulio Montalvo for several years, as well as other nationally-recognized leaders in the field of marriage and family therapy.
Mrs. Schubert uses a respectful and nurturing approach with her clients to help them identify their own personal strengths. She then helps them learn new, more effective communication skills, often lacking in interpersonal relationships. She enjoys being part of the warm, friendly Family Therapy of Albuquerque staff of Christian therapists and co-workers, where each strives to help individuals and families resolve emotionally-difficult situations. Her practice focuses largely on couple’s work, individual personal growth issues, dealing with depression and anxiety, parenting strategies, clarifying career objectives, and helping children and adolescents cope with the pressures of growing up.
Since graduating as a marriage and family therapist from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS (1986), Dr. Schubert has practiced in a variety of settings. After serving on a church staff for seven years, he felt a strong calling to return to graduate school for additional training. He received his Ph.D. in Family Therapy (1999) from Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Dr. Schubert’s professional career has focused on serving the needs of family members, and the broad array of challenges they face in today’s busy society. His therapeutic interests include working with adolescents and their families, marital therapy, and individual therapy for a variety of issues. His therapeutic approach emphasizes (but is not limited to) structural and solution-oriented approaches.
Mark, as he prefers to be known by his clients, uses a warm blend of humor and empathy in his therapeutic work. He welcomes the opportunity to work with anyone whose needs fall within his areas of expertise.
Dr. Goehring is a licensed clinical psychologist and the director of Family Therapy of Albuquerque (FTA). He has been providing therapy for individual adults and couples for 28 years. He holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. He is also an ordained Cumberland Presbyterian minister and an adjunct faculty member at Richmont Graduate University (Atlanta).
Dr. Goehring is devoted to using the tool of Christian psychotherapy to help people discover a deeper relationship with God in the midst of their life struggles. He is also dedicated to developing and providing the most excellent clinical services possible for all those served by FTA. In addition, he loves to practice various forms of prayer and he considers laughter and playfulness among the finer things in life. Dr. Goehring’s special interest areas include spiritual formation, anxiety, depression, marital therapy, and pre-engagement counseling.
Mrs. Mary White is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Counseling. She has been practicing as a Christian counselor with Family Therapy of Albuquerque for 22 years. She has a passion to help people develop a deeper relationship with God as they pursue wholeness in all areas of life. Mrs. White is committed to being an instrument of God’s grace helping people through their challenges. She has been married to her husband, Brian for 29 years and has two children.

Mr. Fitzgerald has a Masters Degree in Counseling from the University of New Mexico. He is a licensed LPCC therapist who has been practicing since 1991. He works with children through adults with a special interest in family, couple and individual therapy. He incorporates play therapy and music therapy when he works with younger children. The areas he has the most experience in include abuse, depression, addiction, anger management, relational issues, parenting skills, and conflict resolution.
Mr. Fitzgerald also has a Masters Degree in theology from the University of Notre Dame with a special emphasis in Scripture. He taught theology for many years at St. Pius X High School and enjoyed working with teenagers. He is interested in helping clients see the relationship between spirituality and psychology, one’s faith and emotional health. He believes that life is a faith journey towards becoming whole — mind, body, emotions and spirit.
Mr. Fitzgerald is very respectful of cultural and religious diversity and respects the client’s lead on what is life-giving for her or him. Spirituality is incorporated into the counseling only if the client is open to include that dimension. God is very much at work even when the client is not ready for explicit reference to God and spirituality. In the words of St. Francis, “preach at all times but only when necessary use words.”
Mrs. Schoder has been providing services for Family Therapy for fourteen years. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who specializes in crisis intervention, emotional, physical and sexual abuse, domestic violence, self-esteem, grief, parenting, anger management, behavioral issues secondary to developmental disabilities, deafness, and issues pertaining to Attention Deficit Disorder. She utilizes a variety of therapy modalities, including verbal psychotherapy, play therapy, art therapy (including work with clay), and sand tray therapy. Mrs. Schoder is also a registered nurse. She integrates her counseling and nursing skills as she provides services related to stress management, multidisciplinary teamwork, and psychosocial assessments.
Mrs. Sara (Sally) Chapman, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, has been practicing with Family Therapy of Albuquerque for eleven years. She provides individual, couples, and family therapy for adults and adolescents. She holds a Masters of Arts in Counseling from Denver Theological Seminary. Mrs. Chapman has a passion to help people develop a deeper relationship with God as they pursue wholeness in the struggles of life. She is also committed to being an instrument of God’s healing grace and to helping people know that they don’t have to face the challenges of life alone.

Ms. Dubuque received her Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of New Mexico. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as well as a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She has been providing therapy services for the past 18 years.
In pursuing her call to help others on their healing journey, Ms. Dubuque’s primary focus is in the areas of grief and bereavement support. She works with adults who have suffered loss in its myriad manifestations—death of a beloved person or pet, chronic illness and disability issues, age-related limitations or other significant changes and transitions. Ms. Dubuque is also available to facilitate bereavement support groups or to present seminars related to grief, stress management and appropriate self-care.
Mrs. Garcia-Rodriguez is a Licensed Independent Social Worker and holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in the state of Missouri. She holds a Diplomate in Clinical Social Work with the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and is credentialed by the Academy of Certified Social Workers (ACSW). She has been practicing psychotherapy for 21 years and is bilingual and bi-cultural.
She works primarily with adolescents and women of various ages. However, she is also interested in assisting children and families. Further, she has a special interest in working with individuals who have experienced sexual abuse or trauma.
Mrs. Garcia-Rodriguez enjoys using her professional skills to incorporate hope, resiliency and faith, therefore helping people create success in various aspects of their lives.
Mrs. Canada received her Masters Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2001. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and has been in practice for the past seven years. Mrs. Canada works primarily with females who are dealing with depression, anxiety, relationship, and parenting issues. Her special interests include loss and bereavement, marital therapy, and working with teens. Outside of her office hours, Mrs. Canada spends most of her time caring for her husband and her three school-aged children. She is active in her church and sees mentoring and hospitality as important aspects of her ministry.
Mrs. Wesley Linam is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She holds a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology and a Certificate in Spiritual Direction from Mars Hill Graduate School in Seattle, WA. Mrs. Linam desires to walk with women and men through pain toward emotional wholeness, relational reconciliation, and greater self-awareness. At the same time, she believes the work of psychotherapy is enhanced by an integrative approach which incorporates spiritual direction. She sees spiritual direction as listening to the Holy Spirit on the behalf of others, with others, toward a greater awareness of God, a growing intimacy with God, and a deeper love for one’s neighbors.
Mrs. Linam is devoted to contemplative prayer practices, and relaxes by engaging in meditation, dancing, and soaking in New Mexico’s plentiful sunshine. She primarily works with individual adults, and her special interest areas include domestic violence, recovery from childhood sexual abuse, and spiritual direction.
