Our Mission
Family Therapy of Albuquerque, Inc. is a non-profit Christian ministry
devoted to providing counseling and educational services which promote
healing, inspire growth, and encourage renewal in people and in their
relationships.
For those who are Christians, the highest purpose of these services is
to assist the Spirit-driven process of Christ being formed in their lives. The
broader purpose of these services is to be part of a mission to renew lives,
strengthen the Church, and transform the community.
Those of us who serve the mission of Family Therapy of Albuquerque believe
that God has called us to fulfill that mission by:
- allowing the presence and love of Christ to be expressed through our
ministry to the lives and situations we are asked to serve. (**Isaiah
61:1-3; Matthew 23:25, 26; Mark 2:3-5; John 4:4-26; 1 John 3:23;
Ephesians 3:16-21; Galatians 4:19; 2 Corinthians 5:16)
- offering our services to anyone, regardless of their beliefs, with
gentleness and respect and without imposing our own beliefs. (1
Peter 3:15, 16; 1 Corinthians 10:32, 33)
- applying the highest level of Biblical, theological, clinical, and
scientific knowledge and training possible to the lives and situations
we are asked to serve. (John 8:32)
- ministering to persons regardless of the level of their financial resources. (Matthew 25:40)
- exercising good stewardship of the ministry God has given us in terms
of time, money, and resources. (1 Corinthians 4:2)
- providing a setting which will facilitate an experience of the presence
of Christ for those who are Christians and an experience of peace and
comfort and the highest quality clinical services possible for all whom
we serve. (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4)
- participating in a community of faith together for the purpose of encouraging
each other, building each other up in Christ, bearing with one another,
carrying each other’s burdens, praying for each other, and loving each
other as Christ has taught us. (1 Thessalonians 5:11; Ephesians 4:2; Galatians
6:2; James 5:16; John 15:12, 13)
- placing the development of our relationship with God through Jesus
Christ as the highest priority of our lives. (Matthew 22:37-40)
